I am a multidisciplinary artist and writer. My passion is for STEAM, the integration of arts with science and technology. I am interested in bringing science and technology concepts to new audiences, but also in the role of arts and creativity in driving new innovations in research and industry. I am particularly focused on spaces where creativity and science can intersect, such as through exhibitions and interpretation, or book design and publishing.
I have a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Hertfordshire. My thesis focused on simulations of extragalactic radio jets from supermassive binary black holes. After my PhD I studied for a diploma in Creativity Theory at the University of Cambridge, where I also worked at the Cavendish Laboratory as a software engineer and Agile team leader within radio astronomy. I worked on developing scalable data algorithms for the Square Kilometre Array telescope and its European precursor, LOFAR.
